Noble Russell has a long established history of producing custom-made furniture for high-end retail stores. Our latest commission was for the Selfridges flagship store on Oxford Street, London. The in-house design team invited us to create bespoke seating for various galleries within the luxury store.
Starting in the ‘Wonder Room’, the flagship store’s space for retailing precious jewellery and luxury watches, we collaborated with Toyko designers Curiosity to produce twenty-four chairs upholstered in soft leather with fine brushed stainless steel frames, hand finished in antiqued bronze. These were complemented by eight matching high stools. A custom-made L-shape sofa with contrasting scatter cushions was also commissioned for the adjoining private sale suite.
Following the Wonder Room seating, a mannequin stand was required for the ladies fashion department – with integral seating upholstered in a grey cotton velvet.
A range of distinctive bespoke seating designed by Jamie Fobert Architects was commisioned for the new shoe galleries. Gallery 3 is the store’s latest showstopper, with a focus on high-end trainers. The 187sq m space offers over 700 styles including those from Chloé, Gucci and Balenciaga. The benches bases are wrapped with stainless steel and upholstered in metallic vinyl and are the perfect perches for anyone who wants to purchase a pair of high-end kicks.
Our latest bespoke furniture for the shoe galleries is in the Kurt Geiger boutique. Two eye-catching benches have been upholstered in red velvet with matching display plinths topped with Jesmonite.
All the custom-built furniture has been delivered and installed by our professional in-house team and has been extremely well received by our client. Our work for Selfridges continues through 2018.
